How it all started:
I first made plans to make a website about Brett Lee early in 2003 when I had become frustrated with the fact that there was no one place on the internet that I could go to for the latest news, pictures and information about Brett. There were a few fan sites around that kept me content but they were rarely updated, or even never finished to start with! Another reason why I made this site was because I couldn’t find other BL fans on the net to discuss Brett with. I’m sure fans here know what it can be like being the only one in your circle of family and friends who likes Brett and not having anyone to crazy over him with!
So, I thought enough was enough! I’m taking matters into my own hands!
BLN started out as a relatively small website dedicated to Brett with a few fact pages, a handful of photos and a few news articles about Brett totalling not more than 30 pages. The goal was simple – make BLN a complete one-stop source for anything and everything Brett Lee. A place where his fans can come and get all the latest news and info about Brett, as well as meet other other fans. That was then.

Nine years on, BLN has become the biggest Brett Lee site on the net. I’m pleased to say that it was immediately embraced by fans all over the world as THE place for everything Brett Lee! I had achieved what I set out to do. And still, new people find the site every day and there was no greater recognition of the site than when in May 2004, Brett Lee’s management contacted me regarding the site. They were impressed by what they saw and asked if I would be interested in making this site Brett’s official website! Heck yeah!
And just when I thought things couldn’t get better, the icing on the cake came when Brett himself started contributing to BLN through his “Notes From India”, and when he mentioned in a newspaper article that BLN is his favourite website! “A fan of mine made a website about me – www.brett-lee.net – and it is fantastic”. And there you have it, recognition from the man himself! What more could I ask for?
Having achieved my initial goals for this site and surpassing them in spectacular fashion, the emphasis for me now is on keeping the site as up-to-date and as accurate as possible, while still keeping fans entertained.
