With his diverse interests, Brett Lee indeed has taken style from mere good looks to something to draw inspiration from and emulate.

When he first came on the scene, Brett Lee was billed as a rival to Pakistan's Shoaib Akhtar in term of pace. He promised pace and delivered it and critics hailed him as the newest star in the pace bowling firmament. Soon, however he was being noticed for his interests outside the realm of cricket. He played bass guitar alright and even had a band called "Six and Out."

As years passed by, the much vaunted rivalry between the two leading pace bowlers was on a wane. While Shoaib emerged as the errant, irresponsible guy, Lee on the other hand appeared the exact reverse of a pace bowler off the field. No hanky panky, no embarrassing peccadilloes.

Instead the ever smiling charmer, who was also an 'Indo'phile. At first blush, Lee appears a casual guy. But when one learns that he has a clothesline to his name, that a watch company has a Brett Lee line of watches does the feeling sink in that he is also a sort of a trend setter and fashion is only one of the many ways in which he's been inspiring a generation of aspirants to follow his footsteps. Fast bowlers, who at one time were dreaded, now had a large fan base and not only for clocking impossible figures on the speed gun.

His interest in music is well known. Recently he came down to India to do a duet with legend Asha Bhosale. This kind of an eclectic blend in his personality is what appeals to the youngsters the most. They might be drawn on to him because of his good looks and later discover that there's a lot to the man than mere looks and aspire to imbibe a lot of his good qualities.

Though charity doesn't always figure on the list of things Lee does, his involvement in this field can't be overlooked. More so when it does add to your fashion quotient. With his diverse interests, Lee indeed has taken style from mere good looks to something to draw inspiration from and emulate.
