Australian fast bowler Brett Lee conducted bowling clinics in Mumbai and Bangalore before wrapping up his hectic four-day India visit.
The temperatures were soaring, but the heat could not stop kids from trying to bowl faster at the bowling clinic in Mumbai.
Lee, one of the world's best bowlers, advised kids to keep working on their fast bowling.
"The best advice I can give to a young bowler coming through is keep practicing and keep working on fast bowling. When at the nets make sure, he gets his action right and it's that simple principle," said Lee.
"If it doesn't really hurt, like if his back's not sore or if his legs aren't sore, he can't be doing too much wrong. Try and get the action correct," he added.
Changing trends
Lee said he was impressed at the enthusiasm for fast bowling as India has always been a spinners' paradise. He attributed this to the changing trend in the subcontinent.
Lee said off late, seamers have won matches for Team India, so the desire to bowl quick was but natural.
"It's a great part of the game and it's very important that young fast bowlers don't only want to bowl spin but also fast," he said.
Lee kept the clinic simple for the youngsters like having a good run up, a technically sound action and remaining fit.
The pacer also advised the budding cricketers to enjoy the game - a tip that these kids will surely remember forever.
