Bowl it like Brett Lee!

Getting bowling tips straight from one of the world's fastest bowlers is something that's truly an experience to be cherished.

It's a cliched statement but indisputably a true one that cricket is no less than a religion in India. It's a country where everyone loves the thrills and the spills of the game.

And these days, most youngsters, no matter which part of the country they belong to, dream of being in Team India. So, it's surely a step in the right direction to help youngsters learn the tricks of the game and boost the hidden talent in the country.

And, if it's one of the most respected and feared bowlers in international cricket, someone like Australia's Brett Lee teaching you the trick, then what more can one ask for?

"Cricket fans all over the world keenly follow his performances and we Indians are no different," shares Pritendra Chawla, GM (Nutritionals), GlaxoSmithKline, the company that plans to do a coaching-cum-interactive session Boost Bowling Clinic with Brett Lee.

It's a session where cricket enthusiasts will get to learn all about pace bowling, from none other than the master himself. It will also be a chance for the youngsters to prove their mettle, because a few chosen ones will also get to bowl alongside Brett Lee during the workshop.

But what does Brett have to say about the whole thing? "Our tight schedules don't leave us with much time nowadays to coach and develop budding talent.

I'm glad that Boost has given me an opportunity to interact with young cricket enthusiasts of India, and to share pace bowling tips with them," says Brett Lee, who'll be in the city on May 4 between 10 am and 12 pm at Bhavans Ground, Andheri West.

But how does one get to meet and play with this busy man? Well, that's no yorker at all. All one needs to do is to buy a 500g pack of Boost or ChocoBlast, which will get one a free entry pass, for two people.

With a brand like Boost, known to have endorsed some of the best cricketers in the country such as Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag, Boost Bowling Clinic doesn't come as surprise. "This activity is part of our ongoing endeavour to bring international sports icons closer to our end-users," shares Chawla.

Earlier the brand had Virender Sehwag playing with kids and inaugurating the Boost Cricket Academy in Hyderabad. In November 2005, it gave Mumbaiites a chance to interact with master blaster Sachin Tendulkar and in January 2006, the brand had some leading international tennis stars, part of the ATP Chennai Open Tennis event, to interact with more than 2,000 kids in Chennai. So, here's to help boosting the sportsman spirit!
