GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare's (GSKCH) brand Boost organised the ‘Boost Bowling Clinic’ for cricket enthusiasts in Bangalore.

Australian cricketer Brett Lee conducted this event at Bangalore’s Bishop Cotton Boys School where he gave bowling tips to young cricket aspirants.

“Boost has always been at the forefront when it comes to delivering energy for winning performance. The Bowling Clinic is yet another initiative by the brand to effectively deliver the winning performance promise to our consumer. This occasion is an effort to go beyond the obvious and provide young sport aspirants an opportunity to learn first-hand from Brett Lee, and then use that learning for bettering their personal sporting performance,” said GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare general manager (nutritionals) Pritendra Chawla.

Brett Lee said, “I saw some great talent and passion for cricket among Bangalore folks here at the Boost Bowling Clinic. I’m glad that Boost has given me the opportunity to interact with cricket aspirants in India. My tight schedule doesn’t allow me to spare too much time on coaching and develop budding talent. However, it was pleasure to share tips on pace bowling with sports enthusiasts at the Boost Bowling Clinic.”

It is Boost’s endeavor to support and encourage upcoming talent in sports to encourage winning performance. In January 2005, Virender Sehwag inaugurated the Boost Cricket Academy where it gave an opportunity to kids to play with Sehwag.

In November 2005, consumers from across India met with Sachin Tendulkar in Mumbai and had a personal interaction with him. In January 2005 and 2006, over 2000 kids in Chennai were give a chance to play with the leading international tennis stars who were a part of the ATP Chennai Open Tennis event.
