Australian fast bowler Brett Lee says his form in the recent triangular one-day series should be considered when the Test XI is selected for next month's series against New Zealand.

Lee took 16 wickets in eight matches in the triangular series to earn the player-of-the-series award, however he has been chosen as 12th man in Australia's past 10 Tests.

He said he felt his one-day form warranted selection in the Australia's Test XI.

"I'm feeling fit, the body's great," he said. "I keep sort of reinforcing that.

"Over the past probably two or three months I've been playing one-day cricket, 10 overs backing up from game to game, I think that hopefully can prove enough, but we'll have too wait and see what happens."

Australia commences its five-match one-day series against New Zealand in Wellington tomorrow, with the first Test beginning on March 10 in Christchurch.

The second Test will be played in Wellintgon (March 18-22) while the third Test is scheduled for Auckland (March 26-30).
