PACE bowling's most prolific assassin Courtney Walsh believes the one-day form of Brett Lee should see him recalled to the Australian Test team.
And the West Indies legend - still the holder of most Test wickets for a fast bowler (519) - thinks Glenn McGrath is set to cruise on past a 35th birthday today to the 2007 World Cup and his record.
Walsh threw his weight behind Lee's Test claims after watching the blond quick convert the frustration of a sidelined summer into man-of-the-series honours in the VB one-dayers.
Lee, 12th man for Australia's past 10 Tests, claimed 16 wickets at an average of 21 with sizzling pace to help Australia dominate the one-day competition.
Walsh said while Australian selectors again face a pleasant dilemma in picking three pace bowlers from Lee, McGrath, Jason Gillespie and Michael Kasprowicz, he'd take the rocket-fuelled pace of Lee as one.
"I personally would have Brett Lee in my team once he is fit and bowling well," the former West Indian skipper said.
"And McGrath showed in the last game he has still got a lot of fire in him. He is doing extremely well for Australia."
