SYDNEY: Happy to be back in action after a six months' lay off, speedster Brett Lee hopes to strike form in the ICC Champions trophy scheduled in England this month.

After recuperating from an ankle injury, the tearway Australian pacer made a comeback in international cricket last week in the final of the Videocon cup triangular series in Holland where Australia beat Pakistan to lift the trophy.

Though he was brought in as first change bowler in the final, Brett Lee -- bowling in two spells-- looked in rhythm and hit 153.8 kmph.

It was the same sight again which sends shivers down the spine of the batsmen as the bowler was seen charging down the track without any jerk. He took one wicket in the match and looked completely fit.

The age quotes the fast bowlers as saying, “I was really happy with last week. The most important thing was to get through the game, and everything felt fine. The objective was to get out there and hit the deck hard, and to come through it all ok has been great for my confidence.”

“It was just nice to get out there without needing to have my ankle strapped. The physios have always needed about 20 minutes to strap up the ankle before play, and so naturally, this cuts into your preparation time. You get strapped up, then you sometimes have to rush out there - maybe just in time for the national anthem - and then sometimes you are bowling straight away,” he added.
