WHILE he may be missing the Test against India, fast bowler Brett Lee was still full of beans yesterday.
Instead of delivering bouncers at the Gabba, Lee was serving ounces at his coffee shop in Sydney.
Australia's espresso bowler has always wanted to own a coffee shop, and five months ago went into partnership with his mate Luke Harriss.
"Rather than sitting home and doing nothing, I like to be bit proactive and try to further my skills in something outside cricket," said Lee, on the comeback trail after leg surgery five weeks ago.
Lee will make his come back to the New South Wales side in Sunday's ING Cup game against Victoria at the MCG after having bone spurs removed from the base of his tibia and a torn ligament cleaned out.
"It was causing a lot of inflammation and a lot of acute pain. I haven't gone into a game since I was 18 when the ankle felt really good," he said.
On Tuesday, Lee joined the Australian team in Brisbane.
"Steve Waugh came up and said it all looks really good and it was probably the quickest I have bowled in a long time," he said.
"I'm going to give it a good crack this Sunday. I'm ready to rock and roll."
