I met Brett during the Aussies recent trip to South Africa, I met him a day before the 400 match. I was extremely disappointed as I was unable to get tickets for the match. So I, along with a few friends decided to go to the Shopping Mall next to the hotel where the Aussies where staying.
We wandered aimlessly in the huge mall poking in every nook and corner to see if we could manage to see any players. We wandered close to an hour but with no luck. I was extremely tired and disappointed but then I suddenly noticed Nathan Bracken at a shop. I went and asked for an Autograph then I asked him if Brett Lee was around. He told me that Brett and Shane Watson where at a Restraunt nearby. I rushed to the restaurant immediately and there he was with Watson.
I waited patiently outside, but they kept ordering dish after dish and when it seemed that they would take ages to finish off their coffee, I lost all my patience and went bang into the restaurant and to their table.
They where surprised to find an unwelcome visitor but Brett responded in a good manner. He told me that once they are done with the food he will surely oblige me with a snap and asked me to wait outside.
After what seemed eons, he eventually not only kept to his promise but also was kind enough to chat with me for close to 10 minutes. He remembers a good amount of Hindi words from his trips to Indian Subcontinent and it was fun listening to him speak in Hindi.....He was very jovial and asked me to guide him in the mall and help him in shopping...he eventually bought a T shirt chosen by me and my friends.
