OK, now you have got to read this. I have been a fan of Brett since I was 11 years old and now after 4 years I finally got a chance to meet him on October 29, 2006 in India (Chandigarh). I went to Chandigarh from Delhi to see the India v Aussie match but I was more interested in watching Brett Lee.
I made this big chart which was full of his pictures and took it to the match and for four hours till they were bowling I was just lookin at him. The first time he came on field I got so excited that this cop had to change my seat... hehe anyways I was very happy to see him but wanted his autograph so after the match around 9 I went to Taj to try my luck. I waited there for 3 hours and then finally the whole team came and I could not get an autograph or anything because I was just lookin at him. Then they all went up and I got very sad and then my bro went to this cop and asked him if he could just get an autograph of Brett because I was very sad and was almost about to cry. So then the cop said that he could not do anything as Brett had gone up and no one knew when would he come down. So then my bro and my sisters were just explaining to me that it's OK and that I can meet him again later. But then suddenly my sis saw him go into this room right next to the reception so then me, my sis and my bro went to the reception and told them that we had come specially from Delhi just to meet him and that I had made that chart just for him so please just make her meet him so then the manager told me to come with him.
I had the camera with me so I asked the manager if my cousin could also come with me to click the pic so then he took both of us inside. When I went in he had his interview going on with some reporters as soon as he got over with it I went up to him. So then he said 'Hi guys' and then me and my cousin said hi to him then my cousin told him that I had made that chart for him so he looked at me and smiled first and then he said 'these pics are scary' so I was like 'no they are very nice so then he started laughing and signed on 2 pics then I asked him if I could get a snap with him so he said ya sure and we walked a lil away and he held me from my shoulder and got a snap clicked. I was already in shock and after that I froze then my cousin went to get a snap clicked with him so he tells me 'hey I have the same camera' and I was so happy and could not control my smile.
Then I said thanks to him and he shook hands with and said 'shukriya' then patted on my back and went away. He went but I could not move from there for a few seconds. Since then I have been smiling away to glory. I was so happy and can't believe it and what's more I got that pic enlarged and have it on the wall in my room. This makes me believe that dreams do come true and I hope eaach one his fans get to meet him and I am sure you will. Good luck to all!
