Alright, note, I am not OBSESSED about Brett Lee, but I love cricket. I thought I'd write a funny story about my friend, Dora, and I meeting Brett Lee.
It was a half-a-day teacher strike, and the SCG is across the road from our school (I KNOW! Soooo COOL!). So we decided to go and watch the Pura Cup match of NSW vs SA. I took my little brother's Speedblitz Blues hat, who coincidently had all the player's autographs, except Brett Lee's! Then Brett Lee starts signing autographs.
So Dora and I walk up to him. He sees us in our school uniform and asks, "Do you have the day off school today?" (meanwhile my conscience is going - "we're in our school uniform, obviously not!") but I reply, "NAH! There is a teacher's strike. We have to go back in 10 minutes." Dora and I groan. Then Dora says... "BUT YOU CAN WRITE US A NOTE IF YOU WANT! -- AND WE WON'T HAVE TO GO!" (FOOL!). Binga just giggles, probably a forced one, but it was nice. Haha! I keep teasing Dora about that comment.
I have met Binga before. When I was 10, I didn't like him at all back then! But 6 years later, when I met him again, I don't mind him at all. He comes across as down to earth and polite. He works hard, and is a crowd-pleaser, which everyone loves!
