I m just a fan like others visiting this site. Like other fans, even I wanted to meet Brett Lee. I still support Indian team but I am still a big fan of Brett.
My father is on a very high position in the Airport Authority of India, so I was always after him that Brett will come to the Airport, catch him there for me. I wanted to meet him. At last, my dreams came true yesterday (23rd October). I even called up at the hotel where the Australian team was staying. They told me they are going to leave at 5 in the evening. According to that I reached the airport at 5:30. It was quite early.
They came at 6:40. It was a long wait but I really didn't get bored as I was waiting for Brett. By the time Brett arrived, I had taken autographs of Glenn and Warne. When he came, my heart beat increased. He straight away went inside the reserved lounge. I felt I missed him but my father told me to get inside. I felt really very shy but still entered inside.
He (Brett) was reading something, I asked him for the autograph, actually, he had his iPod on, so he was listening to music, he put his iPod back and gave me his autograph "Brett". I imidiately left that room as the security people were just coming. Had they been there earlier, i wouldn't have had taken his autograph. My heart was till beating hard. But, i took his autograph. I thank my father for that.
